Annika Sorenstam plays professional golf in Sweden. She is considered to be one of the most successful female golfers in history. Before retiring from professional golf in 2008, she had won over 90 international tournaments as a pro. That made her the golfer of women with the highest number of winnings. She has been engaged with Mike McGee and has two kids with the names of Madelyn McGee as well as William Nicholas McGee. Both Annika and Mike have been married since 10 January, 2009. Annika is a talented golfer since her early days. Also, she was a senior tennis and soccer National player. It was her skiing ability which brought her family members to Sweden and she was able to pursue the sport with a professional. She made it to the LPGA final event in 1994 and won her first win for a professional in the ALPG Tour Australia. Annika was awarded LPGA rookie of the year in 1994 for placing in the top three. Annika's breakout came in 1995, when she took the title in her first win on the US Women Open LPGA tour. She is the only non-American who has won the Vare Trophy. Along with that Annika was even named 1 among the Money list. She decided not to continue taking part in the 2008 contest. She actually threw out the first baseball pitch that evening. In the Suzhou Taihu Ladies Open, his most recent tournament by playing in a playoff. This event was sponsored jointly by the Ladies European Tour & Ladies Asian Tour.
