 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American actress, comedian and activist Her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and started her career as an actor when she was a young girl, soon after her move to the United States. She came to prominence for her appearances in AT&T commercials on television as salesperson Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016 and , since then, until the year 2020. She was also a regular series regular on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015) and played a part in a recurring role on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub, who was originally chosen to play the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's pilot that was never aired for New Warriors in 2018, was voiced in that role since. Vayntrub was Jewish and born in Tashkent in the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Her parents and her fled antisemitism at the age of two. They moved to West Hollywood. Due to her family's financial troubles and her own financial struggles, she began acting in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School, but she dropped out of the school in her sophomore year. She obtained an GED and went on to earn the Bachelor of Arts in Communication from University of California, San Diego. She learned improv comedy from the Upright Citizens Brigade.
